Why Does My Rear View Mirror Turn Blue

    Thumbs down My mirrors turned blue!!!!!

    Ok so i parked got out of my car to pick up some medicine at the pharmacy and when i get back into my car and turn it on, and to my surprise my mirrors turned blue!!!!! First i thought some idiot tinted my mirrors while i was inside as a prank but no, the actual crystal of my mirror turned a smoke blue color WTF i know they have an auto dimming setting but it seems to be stuck. Day or night they remain blue for a day now has it happened to somebody here?

    do you have anything hanging from your rear-view mirror? the sensor is on the back of the mirror and if it gets blocked it will dim your mirrors, other then that i have no idea

    Notice the engagement ring on the finger, i dont think you are getting more pics. Although she does look very attractive. Sorry no idea about the mirrors.

    Impossible i just bought some cold medicine and was in and out in about 3 minutes, they would have stolen the mirror caps as well. I turned the auto dimming feature off today and still they are a blueish smoked color. Its weird because its both mirrors, the right one a bit more than the left one.

    auto dim sensor faulty.

    I know this is from the B5 forum, but I'm sure the auto dim function has some similarities in both cars.

    i donno what ur see'ing , they're as clear as the ocean water, lay off the "medicine".. but really, sensor is blocked and probably thinks its night 24/7, check, double check, and report,

    I dont think its the same problem as the b5, because mine is now dimmed even if the car is turned off for a long period of time!!! I took the mirrors out and checked the cable and its fine. Im wondering if the stealership will replace them under warranty or screw me over for changing my silver mirrors to black mirror housings!!!
